SANTA FE, NM - Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino is northern New Mexico's top venue for entertainment and special events, now through the end of 2011.  Among the resort's upcoming offerings are a special Mother's Day buffet at the Painted Parrot Buffet; a charity golf invitational, hosted by the Pueblo of Pojoaque Boys & Girls Club; a party to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in the Turquoise Trail Bar and Grille; and a variety of great national and local entertainment acts, including Styx, Jay Leno, Ron White and Sabor Canela.

King of the Cage is headed back to Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino with the "Fight to Live" event, Saturday, May 14, at 7 p.m.  "This event is the fourth cage fight at Buffalo Thunder and features New Mexico champion Tim Means.  He will be fighting Mixed Martial Arts extraordinaire Chris Leyva. Means will put his King of the Cage Junior Welterweight World Title on the line in what should be an exciting five-round battle between two cage veterans. The finals of the Young Guns 135lbs Grand Prix Tournament will also take place the same night. There will be a weigh-in for the fighters at the Blue Tower Lounge on Friday, May 13, which the public is welcome to attend.

Classic rock band Styx takes to the Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino stage on Friday, May 20, at 8 p.m.  Best known for the hit songs "Lady," "Come Sail Away,"  "Babe," "The Best of Times," "Too Much Time On My Hands," and "Mr. Roboto,"  the band features Tommy Shaw, Lawrence Gowan, James "JY" Young, Todd Sucherman and Ricky Phillips. Styx is busy touring and has played at two Super  Bowls, and tour with Def Leppard, Journey, Boston, REO Speedwagon and Bad Company. In fact, the band has performed more live since 1999 than all of the previous years of its career combined.

$100,000 NISSAN EXTRAVAGANZA
Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino will be giving away three Nissans in May!  Players are invited to try their luck at win a new car, Saturday, May 7 through Sunday, May 29. RED SAGE RESTAURANT

Red Sage's new menu includes starters such as house-cured organic salmon and tortilla soup. Entrées include cast iron-seared organic salmon with Morita spiced summer tomato sauce, bitter greens and slow-roasted golden beets; oven-roasted Alaskan halibut with sautéed shrimp, chorizo, corn, peppers and mushrooms with fresh tomatillo salsa; the delectable vegetarian dish dubbed Pueblo Garden; green chile pork enchiladas with jalapeño bacon beans, yellow rice, house-made crema, pico de gallo and avocado purée; and savory grilled beef tenderloin.
