SUMMER EASY SKANKIN' WITH RADIO LA CHUSMA, ZEALOUS GROOVES AND CRAZYFOOL

(Santa Fe, NM)- Summer Easy Skankin', a live concert at the Lodge at Santa Fe Hotel's Cabaret, 750 N. St Francis Drive, features one of Texas' ground breaking groups, Radio La Chusma, with New Mexico's CrazyFool and Zealous Grooves, Thursday, June 18, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Radio La Chusma
, El Paso's cumbia-reggae collective, will be joined by New Mexico favorites, CrazyFool and Santa Fe's own Zealous Grooves for a night of Cumbia, Reggae, Rock, and Afro-Cuban beats that will get the crowd dancing.

Radio La Chusma's sounds are influenced by the Mexican border where they grew up listening to Latin and Afro-Caribbean beats with hip hop, funk and rock. Radio La Chusma uniquely melds these sounds and they have been successful at creating a positive vibration felt by their loyal followers. El Paso's Radio La Chusma embraces their culturally diverse, deeply-rooted music and cultivates a musical style that is truly memorable and unique.

"Santa Fe is our home away from home, and we love performing here," says singer Ernesto Tinajero. "We are excited about our Summer Skankin' gig with CrazyFool and Zealous Grooves at our biggest Santa Fe venue. This show attests to our growth in this town and the support we feel from Santa Fe. It's going to be great to have all of our friends and fans together in one place."

Since their Santa Fe debut in 2006, the La Chusma crowds have been growing steadily. Radio La Chusma has stayed busy touring the Southwest region with their recent releases, "91.5MexM" and "Live @ Two Ton."

Albuquerque's CrazyFool's Ben Williams, Matt Fitch, Daniel Gonzalez del Real, Josh Shepherd, Kelly Bott, and Anthony Antognoli give 110% at every high energy live show. CrazyFool has performed more than 150 times in the past eight years splitting bills and playing with artists including Yellowman, The Toasters, The B-Side Players, Eek-a-Mouse, The Wailers, Andrew Tosh, The Phunk Junkeez, Ziggy Marley, and Israel Vibration. Their appeal lies in their unique musical approach, wonderful band chemistry, and knack for soliciting crowd participation and interaction. The band continues to blend elements of Reggae, Ska, Hip Hop, and Soul in a way that appeals to a wide array of listeners and party-goers. Combining thick groove-oriented bass with offbeat drums, driving horns, and vocal harmony, CrazyFool's compositions are deep, yet easily approachable. The band's superb songwriting raises the standard in a typecast genre saturated with repetition. CrazyFool, touts a log of over 30 original songs, paired with a few carefully chosen covers

Santa Fe's Zealous Grooves intertwines funk and rock with a hint of jazz grooves. Zealous Grooves member are Shanahan Wood, J.D. Gilliland, Justin Lindsey, and Lael Grant. Shanahan (singer, guitar, and arranger) hails from the Diné Nation of Northwestern New Mexico. Shanahan hails from a family of traditional Navajo singers which brings a unique soul to the Zealous Grooves compositions. Zealous Grooves also includes J.D. Gilliland on percussion, Justin Lindsey on bass, and Lael Grant, who builds bass and electric guitars, on lead guitar.
