BRILLIANT CHANGING COLORS ON THE CUMBRES & TOLTEC SCENIC RAILROAD
LOOKING FOR GREAT WAYS TO SEE FALL COLORS?
BRILLIANT CHANGING COLORS ON THE CUMBRES & TOLTEC SCENIC
RAILROAD
Antonito, Colo. & Chama, N.M. - Anyone in search of the rich and
vibrant colors of autumn should hop aboard the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic
Railroad for the best viewing of the fall foliage in the Rocky Mountains. The colors are bursting and peak foliage
season is starting now.
"Autumn is a perfect time of year to experience the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad," says John Bush, President. "This is when a ride on the Cumbres & Toltec becomes even more memorable and breathtaking -- alight with the vibrant reds, oranges and yellows of fall."
With the high levels of rain northern New
Mexico and southern Colorado have received this summer, the fall leaves will be
a spectacular display. This is a great experience for all ages.
"People get closer to nature on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad," adds
Bush. "The rhythm and speed of the train
allows people to slow down and fully enjoy stupendous colors and those ‘aha' moments. Riding the train and being outside in what I
consider to be the most beautiful landscape in the country at this time of year
is very rewarding and relaxing. We
invite all of you to jump on the train at either of our depots in Chama, New
Mexico or Antonito, Colorado for what is sure to be a beautiful fall day."
The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad
is jointly owned and operated by New Mexico and Colorado. The National Park
Service recently designated the railroad as a National Historic Landmark. It is
the highest and longest authentic steam-powered, narrow-gauge railroad in the
U.S. The passenger railroad travels over its historic route between Chama,
N.M., and Antonito, Colo.
