BUFFALO THUNDER CELEBRATES FIRST ANNIVERSARY

Santa Fe, N.M. - In recognition of their one year anniversary, Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino is offering a series of events, from Native dances, parties and fireworks to concerts and tournaments. A free health fair open to everyone in the community will be offered as well.

Anyone who has caught a concert, enjoyed a gourmet meal at Red Sage, or won in the casino knows this year has been a winner for Buffalo Thunder. Sold out headline acts including Jay Leno, Don Rickles and Three Dog Night, plus upcoming shows including Foreigner, the Edwards Twins and Englebert Humperdinck, have added to Buffalo Thunder's successful operations in its first year.  

"We are inviting everyone up to Buffalo Thunder throughout the month of September to celebrate our anniversary," says David Oakeley, Director of Marketing at Buffalo Thunder. "We kick everything off this Thursday with champagne and cake, and have lined up a spectacular and dazzling fireworks show Sunday evening that is sure to generate many oohs and aahs from the crowd."

Thursday, Sept. 3
2-10 p.m. Casino Guest Celebration  
A celebration station will be set up near the players club with champagne, cake for all casino guests to commemorate the one year anniversary of Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino. The casino staff will also be distributing a special anniversary gift to both Lightening Rewards members and Tribal membership through this area.

4-7 p.m. Resort Guest Celebration with performance by a Native Flute player, champagne and cake
6 p.m. Buffalo Dance            

Sunday, Sept. 6
9 p.m. Fireworks by SkyFire Productions and Gemini Fireworks  The event is completely free and sure to appeal to spectators of all ages.-
