BUFFALO THUNDER RESORT & CASINO'S FREE FALL FESTIVAL
3 DAYS OF GREAT MUSIC WITH MORE THAN 40 BANDS
SANTA FE, N.M. – Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino and Hutton Broadcasting have teamed up to present a music spectacle with more than 40 bands at the Free Fall Festival. The music extravaganza is free and starts Friday, October 1, 5 p.m. and continues through Sunday, October 3, 5 p.m.
The three-day, multi-stage music festival features top bands from the United States including The Wailers, Los Lonely Boys, Ozomatli, Gary Farmer and the Troublemakers, Nacha Mendez, E. Christina Herr and Wild Frontier, Sol fire, Rubixzu, Alex Maryol, Hidden Whale, Joe West, White Buffalo, Stephanie Hatfield & Hot Mess, Jono Manson, Teri Lynn Browning with Andy Primm and Felonious Groove Foundation to name just a few. There will be two beer gardens and five food booths.
The headliner band of Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino’s Free Fall Festival is Ozomatli. In their fourteen years together as a band, celebrated Los Angeles culture-mashers Ozomatli have gone from being hometown heroes to being named U.S. State Department Cultural Ambassadors. Their music— a notorious urban-Latino-and-beyond collision of hip hop and salsa, dancehall and cumbia, samba and funk, merengue and comparsa, East LA R&B and New Orleans second line, Jamaican reggae and Indian raga— has long followed a key mantra: it will take you around the world by taking you around L.A.
“The Free Fall Festival was an idea developed after the previous year’s successful Pumpkin Festival, says Scott Hutton, Hutton Broadcasting. “We have partnered with Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino this year so that we could host a free concert event at one of the premier destination resorts in the Southwest. Festival-goers will enjoy these amazing bands while soaking up the stunning views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. We are thrilled to be putting on another awesome festival for music-lovers, are happy to be so doing at Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino’s Towa Stadium.”
