SANTA FE MIX INAUGURAL NIGHT MAY 25; AIRS ON KBAC JUNE 1

Santa Fe, New Mexico- The Santa Fe Mix, a weekly live musical variety radio show, debuts Monday, May 25, 10 p.m. to midnight, from the new Milagro 139 restaurant in Santa Fe. The performance will be broadcast the following week, June 1 on KBAC-FM 98.1, 10 p.m. to midnight, and will stream on the internet at http://www.kbac.com/.

Hosted by David Schwartz and Clayton Cheek, The Santa Fe Mix will feature a musical sampler of the great musicians, singer-songwriters and performing artists emerging from the artist-rich region of Santa Fe and northern New Mexico each week.

The Santa Fe Mix features live acoustic performances combined with interviews, Santa Fe music calendar updates, along with Schwartz and Cheek's insider views on the music scene, both locally and nationally. The program focuses on singer-songwriters and soloists and features several performing artists per show.

Schwartz and Cheek are veterans of the national music industry. Schwartz was the founder and former editor-in-chief of Mix magazine, the leading international music and audio technology trade magazine. Cheek is a high-profile member of the Nashville singer/songwriter community, with critically acclaimed recordings to his credit. He was also a classical music announcer for eleven years on PBS, and his voice has been heard in countless commercials for radio and television. The co-hosts bring a high level of music world savvy to the broadcasts, and incorporate a national music industry news perspective as a counterpoint to their focus on local music. Their interviews will also feature national artists who have upcoming appearances in the Santa Fe area.

Scheduled guests for the May 25th inaugural Santa Fe Mix show include Jono Manson, Sharon Gilchrist, Wiley Jim and Terry Diers. The first broadcast of The Santa Fe Mix is on Monday, June 1 and will feature Joe West, Jim Almand, Ramsey Scott and Jesus Bas.
